Quantum Mechanix (Qmx) debuted an amazing-looking prototype of their upcoming 1/6th scale Pennywise the Dancing Clown from the hit movie IT at Toy Fair New York. With a sculpt by Waruna Weligamage, the buck-toothed butcher will likely come with his trademark balloon and the hapless Georgie’s paper boat. No […]

With the new movie, which by all accounts looks like another hit for Marvel, opening this weekend, Hot Toys has put it’s hotly anticipated Black Panther figure up for pre-order today. It really looks to be a beauty and despite some nay-sayers, I think the unmasked sculpt is […]
Hot on the heels of its Emperor Palpatine post, Hot Toys showed off its pre-order images of the Royal Guards as debuted in Return of the Jedi. These guys didn’t see a lot of action in RotJ, but they made a big impression likely because of their bright red […]
The long-awaited debut of the final pre-order images of Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious debuted this morning on Hot Toys Facebook page. These images look like an improvement over the prototype shown at SDCC and other cons last year. There will be two versions; standard and deluxe. The Deluxe […]
No, Mister Bond, I expect you to die!” ― Auric Goldfinger Bond fans rejoice, Big Chief Studios has secured the microfiche! Sorry, sorry, no…they’ve secured the rights from the Ian Flemming estate to produce sixth-scale collectibles from the vast treasure trove of films in the James Bond series. […]
In a bit of a surprise move, Sideshow Collectibles announced a sixth-scale Deluxe Luke Skywalker figure. The figure, which retails for $235, features Luke in his Return of the Jedi clothing and includes not only his Jedi robe but his Endor camo gear, including poncho, belt and a second […]
Qmx (Quantum Mechanix) has announced that pre-orders for it’s first in a line of figures from the hit TV show Supernatural are now open. The show features two brothers, Sam and Dean, who were raised by their father to hunt monsters, demons and the like after their mother was murdered by […]
After many, many years of bootlegs and customs, Hot Toys finally nailed down the Matrix franchise and has released the first (of many, presumably) figures; the ONE, the only, Neo. As portrayed by the ever-stoic Keanu Reeves, Neo is one of the most iconic sci-fi movie characters of […]
While no mustache deluxe option was announced, Hot Toys has revealed a new sixth-scale Superman as seen in last year’s Justice League. It’s a nice looking figure and the sculpt looks great on the prototype anyway. The coolest feature being the heat vision LEDs in the included extra […]
For many collectors, the lack of figures representing the varied array of Bonds has been a big, missing gap in the one-sixth universe. Aside from the various, expectedly cheap-looking, mass-produced and unlicensed knock-offs or the very expensive, and long since sold out custom versions, there has not been a line of sixth-scale secret agents to fill that Aston-Martin-sized hole on the shelf of many Bond enthusiasts.
When you ask any Star Wars fan about their favorite scenes from The Empire Strikes Back, you will be counting a lot of votes for the scene in which Darth Vader informs the collected group of bounty hunters of their target aboard the Executor. This was, after all, the first official appearance of Boba-Fett (in live-action form anyway) and was also the coolest collection of badass aliens since the cantina scene in A New Hope.
Much like the character, who went from being the ranger Strider, to Aragorn of the fellowship, to King of Gondor, his 1/6th counterpart has also had several incarnations.
