LEGO’s latest UCS (Ultimate Collectors Series) set is a doozy; a 4,784 piece Imperial Star Destroyer! Like last years Millenium Falcon UCS, this is an update/upgrade to the 2002 version. Not only is highly detailed, with swivelling guns, moving radar dish, and an intricate surface, it includes a tiny Tantive IV that fits inside! It also comes with two Imperial Officer/Crew member figures and a display stand and plaque.
At more than 43″ long, 26″ wide, and 17″ high, it’s almost twice as long as the 2002 version and has over 1,500 more pieces. Dropping Oct 1, 2019 – or Sept. 18th if you’re a LEGO VIP member – it will retail for $699.
Some have already pointed out that there’s 3000 less bricks, no interior and fewer minifigures when comparing to the UCS Falcon whilst still retailing for around the same price so make of that what you will.
