Funko’s onslaught of chibi-style collectibles is seemingly unending these days, because it feels like new pieces of vinyl are being teased every single day.
The latest to come from the Funko family is a new Marvel Movie Moment Funko Pop collectible, which features Thor battling Thanos as seen in Avengers: Infinity War, as well as a new Infinity Gauntlet dome. The Marvel Movie Moment is pretty radical looking, as it recreated the moment when Thor drives his new ax through Thanos’ chest. It’s actually one of the more violent looking Funko Pop collectibles I’ve seen, but even still it’s hard not to smile when you see it. Although, I would have rather have seen it with Thor still holding the hammer as he’s striking it down into Thanos’ chest. The way it’s sculpted now it looks like Thor is still holding onto it and floating even though the ax is already in Thanos’ chest cavity.
The Infinity Gauntlet dome is very similar to the golden BB-8 and Golden R2 that Hot Topic has offered these past two Thanksgivings. While this Funko dome isn’t chrome plated, it still looks great, and quite frankly I may have to pick it up even though I’ve put a ban on buying non-Star Wars related Funko collectibles. I just think it’ll be awesome to have a mini gauntlet on display, and it’ll be much cheaper than the $99 Hasbro gauntlet, so I’ll take the savings.
You can pre-order the Marvel Movie moment today for $24.99. The gauntlet dome will be a Hot Topic exclusive and should be available this December.
