If it’s a day ending in “y”, odds are that Hot Toys is releasing or busy working on an Iron Man figure!
Iron Man MARK XLVI – Concept Art Version
Let’s start with the new: Like Cap before him, HT is releasing a Marvel Studios 10th anniversary Iron Man based on concept art. I’m no IM armor expert, but this looks pretty stunning to me and might be on my list (and being the completist I am, I’ll have to get Cap as well!).
This is based on Marvel Studios’ Head of Visual Development, Ryan Meinderding’s concept art of the fan favorite Iron Man Mark XLVI armor. It features a LED-lit helmet, highly detailed armor design with fully enhanced articulations, metallic red and gold armor, interchangeable shoulder, and forearm weapon-firing armor parts, LED light-up Arc Reactor with a circle-shaped indent on the chest, and a specially designed figure stand. It’s up for pre-order now for around $377.
Iron Man Hulkbuster Deluxe
If you missed your chance the first time (or have moved to a two bedroom apartment where you’ll have room for the thing!), you can now own the massive Hulkbuster, now in a Deluxe version. This is exactly the same HB that people waited quite a while for a couple years ago but includes a very cool-looking Jackhammer left arm and hand (with light up LED feature), an interchangeable locking forearm, and a mini Hulkbuster pod. Already bought the Hulkbustr and feeling green with envy? Fear not, true believer! HT is also giving you the opportunity to pry your wallets open and get all the Deluxe parts as an Accessories Set. No word on the pricing yet, (expect $860 at least) but start crafting your excuses to your spouse now about how much better this would be than a new dishwasher because they should be up for pre-order soon!
Iron Man Mark XLIII (Reissue)
And if you have a Hulkbuster – you’re going to need someone to pilot it right?! To accommodate you, HT has graciously reissued the Mark XLIII armor from the Hulkbuster premier film, Age of Ultron. E the price to be the same as the original release – around $345.
