Quantum Mechanix (Qmx) debuted an amazing-looking prototype of their upcoming 1/6th scale Pennywise the Dancing Clown from the hit movie IT at Toy Fair New York.
With a sculpt by Waruna Weligamage, the buck-toothed butcher will likely come with his trademark balloon and the hapless Georgie’s paper boat. No word yet on a release date or price.
Another surprise debut was Inigo Montoya, the swashbuckling swordsman of the eternally entertaining The Princess Bride. Westley, previously shown at SDCC wasn’t present but is still slated to go into production. Hopefully, Princess Buttercup is not far behind. “Prepare to buy!”
Qmx also showed off more figures from the Star Trek line which was kicked off by Kirk, Spock, and McCoy from the original series (TOS) and Picard from The Next Generation (TNG). Upcoming release include; Scotty and Sulu, both from TOS, Data from TNG, and Kirk, Spock, and Khan from The Wrath of Khan.
On the heels of the release of Dean Winchester from the hit TV show Supernatural, Qmx showed off his younger brother, Sam, and the long-awaited Castiel!
Qmx is not a company to put out “relative” release dates until figures are just about ready to ship, so no solid dates on many of these figures, but I’m assured they’re in the works.

Toy photography melds his childhood dreams of comic book illustration and film directing with his design talents and – in his mind – justifies the ridiculous money he spends on these things. When he’s not shooting, he enjoys kayaking, catching up on good TV and building seemingly endless custom figures.
