Pacific Rim fans rejoice! With the sequel “Uprising” coming to cinemas its high time we got a closer look at the new Jaegers courtesy of Bandai Tamashii Nations at NYCC this year.

GIPSY DANGER – ( CHOGOKIN)

In addition to the new characters debuting, Bandai will be releasing a deluxe version of Gipsy Danger from the original film as part of the Chogokin Line. Standing tall at 23cm, the Jaeger comes with a full compliment of accessories including the ship that was used a to give the Kaiju a good beating! Alongside this the figure also includes light-up effects and great detail and will be retailing for roughly £260.99 . Pre-orders go live here in the UK next week so we’ll keep you updated as that happens.

This is most definitely Bandai’s Jaegar answer to Hot Toys deluxe market dominance in recent years with a ton of add ons and some fantastic looking sculpting and full body detailing. Made of diecast metal, it includes both illumination (lights up in 3 places) and sound (for weapons and the start-up sequence). Also includes many accessories: two sets of hands, a ship, 2 chain-swords, 2 chain-whips, 2 plasma-casters, a stand, and instructions.

Of the new releases, this Jaeger is coming in at the top end of the quality scale as evidenced in these first official glam shots and by the higher price point which puts it firmly in the ball-park of Hot Toys so it will be really interesting to hear your thoughts on whether you think this figure is worthy of that contender-ship.
