Earlier this year it was revealed that Sideshow would be releasing a new Star Wars Mythos line 1/6 scale action figure in the form of Obi-Wan Kenobi, and now today we know when collectors can place pre-orders for him. There’s also a slew of new images to check out featuring this glorious Star Wars figure, which you can dive into below.
If you’re not familiar with the Mythos line it features non-canon versions of key Star Wars characters. In this case, the Star Wars Mythos Obi-Wan is envisioned as what the Jedi Master would have looked like in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. It portrays Obi-Wan as a middle-age former Jedi who wanders the deserts of Tatooine as he watches over Luke Skywalker, who is under the care of his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.
The figure features an insane amount of details in everything from his sculpt, clothes, and accessories. He’ll have multiple hand combinations, three lightsaber hilts (Qui-Gon’s, Anakin’s, and his own), two gaffe sticks, and a Tusken Raider Rifle. This is all in addition to the cloth goods and pack that he’ll ship with.
Speaking of shipping, there isn’t a finalized release date yet, but pre-orders for this figure do go live this Thursday, September 21, between 12pm PST and 3pm PST. You’ll want to bookmark this link and set a reminder for yourself to make sure and plunk down your pre-order for this gem on Thursday. He’ll run you $260 total, which is about in line with Sideshow’s other 1/6 scale figures.
Make sure to check out the full Star Wars Mythos Obi-Wan Kenobi gallery after the break.
