SDCC has come and gone. So many announcements were made, it’s gonna be difficult to choose over them. In a perfect world, I would buy all of them but that’s only wishful thinking. So here’s my top 3 from SDCC 2017 that I’m prepared to spend my hard earned cash on!
First up is the Black Series Grand Admiral Thrawn set from Hasbro. I’ve been eyeing this SDCC Exclusive since it was announced. This set comes with a backdrop and props that would be perfect for taking pictures with. The figure itself is impressive as well, totally dig the paint apps and the headsculpt on this one.
Sad to say that my local supplier has told me that he only have limited stock for this one and I was not on his list! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I can source for one from another supplier.
Next up would be the Catwoman figure from Mezcotoyz’s One:12 Collective line. Being a fan of the One:12 Collective line, this one is at the top of my list! Although this is not a movie figure, I’m getting ideas of a customed headsculpt based on Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman. Maybe I could pitch this idea to the team from @oldboy_ctts.
The third one would another figure from the One:12 Collective line and that’s the Gladiator Hulk from the Thor Ragnarok movie. I feel that this is the best Gladiator Hulk in the 1:12 scale. I had already pre-ordered the Marvel Legends Thor Ragnarok wave when this was announced and I’m kicking myself for pre-ordering it!
And that’s it folks, these are the top three on my list of must have figures from SDCC 2017.
